Rodrigo Mazón is Executive Vice President and Chief Content Officer for ViX at TelevisaUnivision Inc., the world’s leading Spanish-language media and content company. In this role, Mazón focuses on the content enterprise for both AVOD and SVOD, overseeing content related matters for ViX and ViX+, the first global large-scale streaming services created specifically for the Spanish-speaking world.

Previously, Mazón performed as TelevisaUnivision’s Executive Vice President, General Manager of ViX+ (SV0D -Subscription Video on Demand). Mazón was responsible for all elements of TelevisaUnivision’s global SVOD service, ViX+ which launched in the second half of 2022. He oversaw content and programming strategy, original content production, talent relations, content acquisitions, subscriber growth, and retention. 

With over two decades of entertainment industry experience, including ten years in streaming, Mazon is a seasoned content executive specializing in programming strategy, TV/film productions, and acquisitions for audiences in Latin America, Spain and the U.S. Hispanic market. Before joining TelevisaUnivision, he spent six years at Netflix, most recently serving as VP of Content, where he and his team acquired or produced hit series such as «La Casa de Papel,» «Luis Miguel, La Serie,» as well as «El Chapo,» a co-production with Univision. Prior to joining Netflix, Mazón was Director of Content Acquisition at Hulu, where he launched Hulu Latino early in his tenure. He started his career in 2001 at MGM Studios, where he worked in corporate development managing the film greenlight process.
