As part of its international agenda, Iberseries & Platino Industria attended Rio2C for the second consecutive year. Rio2C is one of the leading events for creativity and the audiovisual industry in Latin America and held its eighth edition from May 26 to 31 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Within the framework of the event, Samuel Castro, Co-Director of Iberseries & Platino Industria and Director of Fundación Secuoya, participated as moderator of the panel “Spain in Focus: A Strategic Partner for Iberoamerican Content”, a discussion forum focused on Spain’s role as a strategic partner for the Ibero-American audiovisual industry.

The panel featured Xiomara García, Treasurer and Board Member of Spain Film Commission and Director of Film Madrid Region; Carmen Páez, Undersecretary of Culture at Spain’s Ministry of Culture; Clara Ruiz Pérez, Member of the Board of Directors of Movistar Plus+ and Director of Intellectual Property at Telefónica; and Carlos Garde, CEO of Onza.
During the session, participants explored collaboration opportunities between Spain and Ibero-America, highlighting audiovisual co-production, the role of Film Commissions, and new opportunities for the development and international circulation of Spanish- and Portuguese-language content.
This key gathering reaffirmed Iberseries & Platino Industria’s commitment to fostering strategic partnerships for the Ibero-American audiovisual industry. Furthermore, its participation strengthens its collaboration with Rio2C, a partnership that will continue to evolve through upcoming initiatives to be carried out during the sixth edition of Iberseries & Platino Industria.
