CALLS FOR ENTRIES

The sixth edition of Iberseries & Platino Industria will feature a programme of PRO Activities, which can be accessed via open calls: Euro Atlantic Series Co-Pro Pitch sessions, pitches for literary works to be adapted for the screen, and training workshops, amongst others.

Call for Euro Atlantic Series Co-Pro Pitch

Iberseries & Platino Industria launches in 2026 the Euro Atlantic Series Co-Pro Pitch, an initiative created with the aim of promoting the co-production and international circulation of European fiction, docuseries, and animation series conceived from the outset to travel across territories and connect with global audiences.

The programme seeks to strengthen cooperation among countries along the European Atlantic axis: Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Ireland, Germany, and Luxembourg, as well as with the Nordic countries and other European territories with a strong Atlantic outlook, such as the United Kingdom.

The call will select a maximum of 7 series projects in an advanced stage of development, with particular attention to those demonstrating clear international co-production potential, a solid financing strategy, and strong prospects for global circulation.

The call for applications is aimed at production companies with their registered office in Europe and will remain open until Friday 17 July 2026 at 14:00 (GMT+2).

The selected projects will take part in a pitch session and one-to-one meetings with leading professionals from the audiovisual industry accredited at Iberseries & Platino Industria.

Applications may be submitted until Thursday 9 July 2026 at 14:00 (GMT+2), via the professionals’ section on the event’s official website, once the professional accreditation process has been completed.

Call for the Co-Production and Financing Forum

Aimed at filmmakers, creators, producers, and film directors from Ibero-America and Europe, the Co-Production and Financing Forum is focused on promoting feature film and series projects — fiction, docuseries, and animation — that are in an advanced stage of development and seeking financing.

Its objective is to promote and facilitate connections between audiovisual projects and potential partners for co-production, co-financing, distribution, and international circulation, strengthening collaboration models between companies and professionals from different countries.

A maximum of 10 series projects and 10 feature film projects will be selected to participate in personalized one-to-one meetings with producers, sales agents, distributors, platforms, and potential financial partners accredited at the event.

Call for the Showrunner Training Workshop

The Showrunner Training Workshop is an initiative consolidated as one of the leading spaces for fostering new talent and Spanish-language series projects within the Ibero-American audiovisual industry.

The Workshop, coordinated by The Core School in collaboration with CIMA (Association of Women Filmmakers and Audiovisual Media), aims to provide specialized training in the creative, executive, and management functions of the showrunner, a key figure in the creation and leadership of fiction series.

The training will be held exclusively in person on September 29 and 30 and October 1, 2026 at Matadero Madrid, within the framework of Iberseries & Platino Industria. In addition, the selected projects will receive two online tutoring sessions during the months prior to the face-to-face meeting.

Call for the Workshop “Thinking Like a Producer: Creative Business Strategy”

The workshop “Thinking Like a Producer: Creative Business Strategy” is an activity designed to strengthen the development of fiction projects from a creative, industrial, and market-oriented perspective.

This new training program, which will be incorporated into the sixth edition of Iberseries & Platino Industria, will take place in person at Matadero Madrid during two days of the event.

It is aimed at producers, directors, screenwriters, and executives linked to development departments who are interested in acquiring tools to enhance audiovisual projects through business models adapted to the current context of the Ibero-American market.

Platform and Production Company Pitch Calls

The Platform and Production Company Pitch Sessions aim to connect audiovisual projects at various stages—from story ideas to projects in development, pre-production, production, work in progress, financing gap, and packaging—with invited companies, potential producers, buyers, investors, and industry executives, in order to secure support, funding, collaboration, or sales.

This activity is aimed at creators, screenwriters, directors, filmmakers, producers, and showrunners linked to Ibero-America, who may submit projects including fiction, animation, and documentary feature films, as well as series, miniseries, superseries, teleseries, and telenovelas in fiction or documentary formats, and vertical-format microseries.

Participating companies invited to the production company calls include 3Pas Studios, Amazon MGM Studios, BH5 Studios, Dopamine, HBO Max, Río Ancho, Sony Pictures Television, and Telefe Studios.
