Javiera Balmaceda

Javiera Balmaceda is the head of original content at Amazon Studios for Latin America, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, where she oversees the development of all local original content for Prime Video. She joined the platform in 2017 and has since served as creative director for titles such as *De viaje con los Derbez*, *Llaves*, and *Noticias de un secuestro*, as well as the drama series *El presidente*—about FIFAgate—directed by Armando Bo; the political talk show *Pan y circo*, hosted by Diego Luna and an Emmy winner; and, more recently, the film *Argentina, 1985*, directed by Santiago Mitre and starring Ricardo Darín, which won the Golden Globe for Best Foreign Language Film.
