Eugenio Caballero is a production designer and art director originally from Mexico City. He has been nominated three times for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences awards, winning an Oscar for Guillermo del Toro’s film *Pan’s Labyrinth*. For the same project, he received other awards, including the Art Directors Guild Award, the Ariel Award, the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Award, the Gold Derby Award, and the Online Film Critics Association Award, as well as nominations for the BAFTA, the Goya, the Satellite Award, and the Las Vegas Film Critics Society Award. Throughout his career, he has served on the jury at numerous international film festivals and has been honored as a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in the United States, the Spanish Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and the Mexican Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. In 2024, he served as production designer on “Pedro Páramo” (Netflix) and “One Hundred Years of Solitude” (Netflix), alongside Bárbara Enríquez. He is currently working on various film and streaming platform projects.
