She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Drama from the University of Kent and specialized in Management and Administration of Audiovisual Companies at IE Business School. In 2001, she began overseeing the production and distribution of theatrical productions, completing her training in Audiovisual Production, Radio, and Live Entertainment at the Centro de Estudio del Vídeo (CEV) and the San Antonio de los Baños Film School (Cuba), before moving on to audiovisual production and the development of advertising projects, documentaries, and television content at Lapierna Audiovisual. María Coronado has headed the cultural sector at Triodos Bank since 2012, where she has developed an innovative and scalable financing model for the various disciplines within the cultural sector. María is also a champion of women’s and audiovisual initiatives. She is a contributor to WAWA (World Association of Women in Audiovisual Media) and a member of CIMA (Association of Women Filmmakers and Audiovisual Media).
