He began his professional career playing the role of Javi in the feature film *Vida y Color*, directed by Santiago Tabernero. Later came the series *Motivos Personales*, and in 2004 he played his first leading role in the film *La Distancia*, directed by Iñaki Dorronsoro.

He rose to fame in 2008 with his role as Rafael Duque in the series “Sin tetas no hay Paraíso,” a drama for which he won two Fotogramas de Plata awards: Best Television Actor and Most Searched-For Actor Online.

For this acclaimed work, he also won the Ondas Award for Best Actor in a National Television Drama, the Camaleón de Honor Award for Best Breakout Television Actor, the award in the Television Category at the Seventh Annual Micrófonos de Oro Awards, the Pétalo Award for Best Actor, and the V&T Special Award for Man of the Year from Cosmopolitan TV.

We’ve seen the actor in films such as “Verbo,” directed by Eduardo Chapero-Jackson; “Lo Mejor de Eva,” directed by Mariano Barroso; “The Pelayos,” directed by Eduard Cortés; and “Todo es Silencio,” directed by José Luis Cuerda.

In 2013, he starred in Pedro Almodóvar’s “Los Amantes Pasajeros” and “Alacrán Enamorado,” directed by Santiago Zannou. The latter earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the Actors’ Union Awards.

In 2014, she starred in a commercial/short film directed by Penélope Cruz for the French brand Agent Provocateur.

He achieved international success for his role in the romantic series “Velvet,” alongside actress Paula Echevarría, and for his daring portrayal of a gay character in “Sense8,” a science fiction series directed by the Wachowski sisters. He also appeared in the third season of the hit series “Narcos.” More recently, he portrayed inmate Pablo Ibar in the miniseries “El corredor de la muerte,” which earned him his second Ondas Award and countless nominations. In March 2021, “Sky Rojo” and the fifth season of the multi-award-winning “La casa de Papel” (Netflix) were released.

Between 2020 and 2023, it premiered internationally the two seasons of “30 Monedas,” a horror series directed by Alex de la Iglesia for HBO, as well as two seasons of the series “Los Enviados,” directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Juan José Campanella.

“Weiss & Morales” premiered in 2024; it is a Spanish-German procedural miniseries produced by Portocabo, RTVE, and ZDF Studios.

Silvestre is set to star in Salvador Calvo’s upcoming feature film, “La Fiera.”
