Ukbar Filmes was founded in 2009 by Pandora da Cunha Telles and Pablo Iraola. They are one of the leading Portuguese production companies, producing +80 features and series, most in co-production, going from national box office TOP3; beating primetime slot records in Portugal; and being selected for major international festivals.
Ukbar has produced features such as “Once Upon a Time in Gaza” (Cannes – Un Certain Regard > Best Directors), “SuperNatural” (Berlinale – Forum Section > FIPRESCI Award), and series like “Turn of the Tide” (Netflix), or “Broken Spies” (Berlinale Series Market Selects)
