DAMA, through RECREAS, the professional network for Spanish-language series screenwriters, joins the Iberseries & Platino Industria 2026 programme. This initiative, created with the aim of fostering the development of series with an Ibero-American focus, as well as building bridges for collaboration between screenwriters from Spain and Latin America, already has more than 700 authors signed up to its manifesto.
A total of 275 original, previously unreleased fiction, documentary and animation projects were submitted to this first call. Of these, 14 will have the opportunity to present their projects and gain first-hand insight into the editorial strategies and current needs of audiovisual content executives from leading buyers in Spain and Latin America, during a private session to be held as part of Iberseries 2026.
The programme will also include a round of individual professional meetings to be held at DAMA’s headquarters, where the selected authors will be able to present their projects, share creative interests and explore potential partnerships for the joint development of new series.
With this first call, RECREAS reinforces its commitment to promoting Spanish-language audiovisual creation and to building a collaborative space for screenwriters from Spain and Latin America.
The sixth edition of Iberseries & Platino Industria will take place from 29 September to 2 October 2026 at Matadero Madrid, organised by EGEDA and Fundación Secuoya, in collaboration with FIPCA, and sponsored by Madrid Film Office and Madrid Film Region, among other collaborating entities.
