She earned a degree in Cinematography from the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC) in Mexico City. She has worked as a producer and director on several film projects.
He won the IMCINE Award at the Morelia Lab Production Workshop during the 6th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), for his short film Condones Encanto (2008).
She produced Ehécatl García’s fiction short film, Laszlo (2009), which won Best Production at the 14th Ibero-American University Short Film Festival (VIART) in Caracas, Venezuela. She also won the FEMSA Foundation First Place Award at the 1st ECOFILM Festival in Mexico for her short film Cosechando el agua (2011). Her short film Un suelo (2011), co-directed with Pamela Albarrán Rodríguez, won First Place in the Documentary category at the 4th “Hazlo en Cortometraje” University Competition, organized by the BBVA Bancomer Foundation and the Cinépolis Foundation in Mexico.
She worked as a producer for Patricia Martínez’s short film Y retiemble en sus centros la tierra (2011), winner of the Best Student Short Film award at the 2011 José Rovirosa Award, given by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
Her short fiction film Ella (2014) was part of the Official Selection of the 12th FICM and has also participated in the 9th Sydney Latin American Film Festival (SLAFF), Australia, and the 12th Bangkok World Film Festival, Thailand. Ella received an Ariel Award nomination for Best Short Fiction Film.
She is the producer of the documentary The Good Christian, a feature-length documentary filmed in Guatemala during the trial of former president Efraín Ríos Montt for genocide, winner of the Feisal award at the Guadalajara Film Festival 2016.
She is the producer of the documentary series The Narcosatánica with HBO.
She is currently the director of the GuadaLAjara Film Festival (GLAFF) in Los Angeles and the Industry and Market Director of the Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG).
