The initiative, developed in collaboration with the Federation of Publishers Guilds of Spain (FGEE), will connect publishers and literary agencies with production companies, platforms, studios and television networks seeking new intellectual properties for the audiovisual market.
Iberseries & Platino Industria announces the selected works that will take part in the Literary Works Pitch for Audiovisual Adaptation, one of the new features of its sixth edition, which will be held from 29 September to 2 October 2026 at Matadero Madrid.
The activity, which is being carried out in collaboration with the Federation of Publishers Guilds of Spain (FGEE), was created with the aim of strengthening the connection between the publishing sector and the Ibero-American audiovisual industry, facilitating meetings between publishers and literary agencies from Spain and Latin America and production companies, platforms, studios, distributors and television networks seeking new stories and intellectual properties with adaptation potential.
Following the call for submissions, 15 works from Spain, Mexico and Germany have been selected, along with an invited project from Argentina originating from the Puentes Creativos lab, promoted by the Buenos Aires Film Commission and selected to participate in Iberseries & Platino Industria.

The selected works encompass a diversity of genres, narrative universes and creative approaches, reflecting the richness of literary production and the potential of literature as a source of new stories for film and television.
A new bridge between literature and the audiovisual industry
The Literary Works Pitch for Audiovisual Adaptation is conceived as a space for discovery and the generation of business opportunities. The selected works will be presented in a public pitch session before professionals from the Ibero-American audiovisual industry interested in identifying new projects and intellectual properties that could be turned into films, series, superseries, miniseries or teleseries.
Likewise, projects that generate interest will be able to access a personalised schedule of professional one-to-one meetings, with the aim of fostering direct contact between the representatives of the works and potential partners for their development and audiovisual adaptation.
The call was open to works commercially published in Spanish or translated into Spanish, with available and duly documented audiovisual adaptation rights. Both fiction and documentary projects were considered, with particular attention given to stories with potential for development as series, expandable narrative universes and works capable of reaching new audiences and international markets.
With the incorporation of this new space into its programme, Iberseries & Platino Industria expands its commitment to building bridges between the different sectors of the cultural industries and reinforces its role as a meeting point for the development, financing, production, distribution and international circulation of Ibero-American content.
