The new initiative will foster the international co-production of European series with global ambitions through mentoring, strategic meetings and pitching sessions before leading industry executives. Production companies from seven European countries will gather in Madrid, joined by two invited projects thanks to collaboration agreements with Göteborg Film Festival and Seriencamp.
Iberseries & Platino Industria has selected the nine projects that will participate in the first edition of Euro Atlantic Series Co-Pro Pitch, a new initiative created with the aim of promoting the co-production and international circulation of European fiction, docuseries and animated series conceived from the outset to travel across territories and connect with global audiences.
The programme seeks to strengthen cooperation among countries along the European Atlantic axis, as well as with the Nordic countries and other European territories with a strong Atlantic outlook. The selected projects stand out for their international co-production potential, the strength of their financing strategies and their ability to reach audiences beyond their domestic markets.
The first edition will bring together projects from Spain, Belgium, France, Portugal, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Canada and Uruguay, including two invited projects thanks to collaboration agreements established with two of Europe’s leading markets and events specialising in series: Göteborg Film Festival, a benchmark for the Nordic audiovisual industry, and Seriencamp, one of the most important industry events in Germany.
The nine selected projects are:
- Callback, by Funicular Films y Left Tackle Films (Spain).
- Heartbeats, by Malvalanda (Spain).
- In Memoriam, by PassezGo, C3 Media y Kwassa Films (Canada/Belgium).
- King of Hearts, by De Wereldvrede (Belgium).
- Las Palmas My Love, byQuad Drama (France).
- Listen to My Lips, by David & Golias (Portugal).
- Sangria, by Strive Stories (Suecia), Sons of Lumiére (Finlandia) y The Aurora Project (España), guest project of Göteborg Film Festival.
- Summer of Love, by Polyphon and Just Make It Production (Germany), guest project from Seriencamp.
- The Invisible Ink, by Need Productions and Guay Films (Belgium/Uruguay).
During their participation in Euro Atlantic Series Co-Pro Pitch, the creative and production teams behind these projects will take part in an exclusive programme including mentoring, strategic advisory sessions and one-to-one meetings with key decision-makers from the international audiovisual industry. As the culmination of the programme, the projects will present their proposals in a pitching session before a specialised audience made up of commissioners, investment funds and potential strategic partners.
The selection committee for this first edition was made up of leading professionals from the European audiovisual industry: Laura Miñarro, VP of International Business and Coproduction at Buendía Estudios (Spain); Diego del Pozo, Head of Fiction at Atresmedia Televisión (Spain); José Fragoso, Director of Programming at RTP1 and RTP Internacional (Portugal); and Georges Huercano, Development and Co-Production Manager at RTL (Belgium).
Iberseries & Platino Industria is thus expanding its commitment to the internationalisation of audiovisual content and the creation of new alliances between European producers, further consolidating its position as a key platform for the development of projects with global ambitions.
Iberseries & Platino Industria will hold its sixth edition from September 29 to October 2, 2026, at Matadero Madrid, organised by EGEDA and Fundación Secuoya, in collaboration with FIPCA. The event is supported by Madrid Film Office and Madrid Film Region, among other partner organisations.
