The workshop “Thinking Like a Producer: Creative Business Strategy” is an activity aimed at strengthening the development of fiction projects from a creative, industrial, and market-oriented perspective.
This new training program, which will be incorporated into the sixth edition of Iberseries & Platino Industria, will take place in person at Matadero Madrid during two days of the event. It is aimed at producers, directors, screenwriters, and executives linked to development departments who are interested in acquiring tools to enhance audiovisual projects through business models adapted to the current context of the Ibero-American market.
The workshop will be led by Leonardo Zimbrón, a producer with extensive experience in film and television and currently SVP of Co-Production at 3Pas Studios, the production company founded by Eugenio Derbez and Ben Odell.
Throughout his career, Zimbrón has worked with companies and platforms such as Warner Bros., Sony Pictures, Netflix, and Amazon MGM Studios, participating in productions such as Nosotros los Nobles, Club de Cuervos, and Cada Minuto Cuenta.
The workshop program will be developed in two thematic sessions:
- Creative strategy in development – market vision from day one, focused on how to strengthen projects from their earliest stages by incorporating elements with commercial and audience potential.
- Business models, a review of traditional and emerging formulas for financing, producing, and positioning audiovisual projects in the international market.
This initiative further strengthens Iberseries & Platino Industria’s commitment to creating spaces for networking, training and professional development that respond to the new challenges facing the audiovisual sector, fostering the evolution of projects from a creative and business perspective and strengthening their potential for circulation and connection with the international market.
